LBCC Accreditation is Coming!

For the first time, LBCC Classified Senate representatives will represent the Classified body in the upcoming Accreditation process.

Beginning in January 2020, Long Beach City College will start the work to prepare for accreditation. There is a need for 10 Classified colleagues to volunteer to represent the Classified Senate in the Accreditation process:

1.) One Accreditation Steering Committee Tri-Chair

2.) Nine Standard Committee Tri-Chairs

Must be able to commit to two trainings on the following dates: Friday, January 31st - Zoom Training with ACCJC

Wednesday, March 25th - In-Person Training with ACCJC

(There are four "Standards" but the college has decided to create nine committees since the work of some standards is more than others.)

As the process continues, there will be further opportunities for ALL colleagues to be involved.
