Classified Senate Accreditation Participation 2020 - 2022

For the first time, LBCC Classified Senate representatives are representing the Classified Body in the Accreditation process.

Accreditation is a self-evaluation process that happens once every seven years. The work will start in January 2020 and go into 2022. The process is essential for LBCC to be able to provide financial aid, insure our courses will transfer to other colleges, and insure the public and employers know LBCC programs meet standards of quality. However, it can also be an opportunity for self-reflection about current conditions, future direction, and future goals. We hope that it will also be an opportunity for members of the Classified Body to get involved, contribute to the conversation, as well as offer expertise to the various committees.

Classified Members of the Steering Committee

Thanks to all who have volunteered so far to represent Classified Professionals in the Accreditation process. Here are the Steering Committee Representatives. There are four Standards but the college has decided to create nine committees since the work of some standards is more than others.
